This is a mixed media work with pencil and water color of the ‘Black Beauty’ and its friend ‘Fair Lady’. To start, a rough sketch with pencil of the horse and its friend is made.

I resisted the temptation of blending pencil strokes on the ‘Black Beauty’; it would have given a smooth and satin finish to the horse. Continuing with the theme of flowers, here are a few paintings. Every artist might have painted the flowers arranged in a pot. Pelicans

Pelicans. The mixed media drawing is akin to the little bird of ‘song of joy’ posted a few days back. Same technique is adapted. Part of the painting’s reference if I remember right was a news paper clipping. The final result was very pleasing to me, I must say.

This is a simple mixed media painting. But for unknown reasons I keep watching this painting very often and psyche myself into hearing its song every time! I have kept this as my avatar in some of the forums. It is done on a handmade paper with graphite, color pencils and fuji  transparent color.
