This is a mixed media work with pencil and water color of the ‘Black Beauty’ and its friend ‘Fair Lady’. To start, a rough sketch with pencil of the horse and its friend is made.

This is the final stage. The details and finishing touches are given. I resisted the temptation of blending pencil strokes on the ‘Black Beauty’; it would have given a smooth and satin finish to the horse.
